Logs issues

I do not see the recent phone's activity.

You will have to check if the application is running and if the phone has internet access.
The part of the application that sends data to the server can be sometimes killed by the Android system. If so, after 2 days when the application does not send any data, that part of the application will restart and it will send all the data that was collected in the last 2 days. You can manually restart the application or if you used a custom installer you can reinstall the exact apk. When you reinstall it, you don't loose any logs and the application will be restarted after you reopen it.
Here is a list that you can check:
1. First of all you need to check the phone's internet connection. You can do this by using the phone's browser and access the internet. Leave the internet connection on.
2. The phone's airplain mode should be disabled.
3. Restart(shut down and start up) your phone.
4. Choose a smaller time interval for the data to be sent to the server. After you login go to Account(right menu) -> Phone settings -> set the Time interval for sending data to the server to 15 mins.
5. Check to see if the application is running on the phone. Go to Settings -> Applications -> Running services
6. Check to see if the application is still installed on the phone. Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications

How are the logs sent to the server?

The logs from the phone are not sent immediately to the server. The logs are first saved into the phone and usually once every hour the phone will try to send the logs to the server. If an internet connection is not available the logs will be sent another time when the internet is available (this way no logs are lost). You can change the time interval for the phone to send logs to the server, you can set it to 15 minutes by going to account/phone settings/Time interval for sending data to the server. Even like this you will still not see instantaneously the logs on the server.

I registered the application but some logs are from the past.

The first time you register the application it is normal to see some activity from the past (like a sms or mms). The database is empty and some data has to be inserted in order to compare it with the new data.

Install issues

I registered the application on the phone but I can not login on the site.

1. Try to use the recover password section.
2. If the email is not registered most likely you didn't enter your email correctly when you registered on the phone. Contact support and specify your phone number or mac address. Specify also your real email address.

How do I recover my password?

Your password is encrypted in our database and I can not tell you your password, but no problem, you can recover your password alone.
Just go to recover password enter your email (the email used when you registered) in the Recover your password box and click recover. You will receive a mail with a token and a link to spy-phone-app. Click on that link, enter the code that you received in the email, and enter your new password.

If you need help you can simply contact us and specify a new password and I will update your password in our database.

How do I install My Spy phone app on more phones?

If you have installed the application once this means that you have registered an account. If you want to use the same registered account in order to install Spy phone app on another phone, you just have to enter the same email and password when you install the application on another phone. After you finish installing the application, you can login to the server and you will see the new phone in the phones list.

How do I uninstall the application?

If you leave the application installed, logs from your phone will be sent to the server even if you will not have full access to see the logs. If you uninstall Spy phone app, no more data will be sent to the server. The uninstall process is the common process for every Android application. Just go to Settings, Applications, Manage application, select Spy phone app and uninstall it. Spy phone app will be completely deleted from the phone. We do not use any mechanism to hide or to reinstall the application.

Also, for some versions from Google Play you will need to disable the Device Administrator Rights before you can uninstall the app.

Trial issues

How does the trial period work?

You can activate the trial period at any time after you register your phone. All the data is recorded after you register your phone. You don't have to activate your trial or to make a payment in order to send logs to our server. If you choose to activate your trial period after some time you register your phone, you will just see more logs from your phone. The phone is active for three days after you register it. After that you can activate the trial for another two days.

How do I activate my trial?

First of all you must register your account and your phone. Please see Download for more info. Login to the site after you install the application. In the left menu with the title Account, click on the Make payment link. On the top of this page you get some info about the payments you can make, and on the bottom of the page the registered phones are listed. In this list click on the Activate trial button (for the phone you want to activate). A pop up appears with the text "Are you sure you want to activate the trial period for ..?". Click Yes.

Why is the activate trial button not visible?

If you activate your trial period you will see the text "The trial period was activated" instead of the activate trial button. You can activate the trial for more phones but you can not activate the trial period two times for the same phone. Also if you make a payment for a phone you can not activate the trial period for that phone (you already know how the application works).

Payment issues

Validating the payment

We use the trusted and secure Paypal for the payment system. We use instant payment notifications. This means that your payment is validated almost immediately. For any issues (if your payment is not validated) please contact us to solve the problem.

What is the cost of the application?

The price for a subscription is 1 month $49 US, 6 months $59 US or 1 year $69 US. In the price the call recording feature and the record surroundings feature is activated, you don`t need to pay anything extra.
We have some discounts if you make a payment for a longer period of time or for more phones. Even without a payment you can still see the logs that are recorded by the application. And with the help of the trial period you can see if the application is useful enough to subscribe.

I want to pay but I don't have a card

At the moment our website allows 1 ways of payment: via PayPal. PayPal require a card (MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron etc.). But you can try to add cash on your Paypal account with MoneyGram, MoneyPak, Coinstar and My Cash Cards. To see all details please go to PayPal

Notification in statusbar

On the target phone a notification appears in the notification bar

This is a parental control application and we have added a notification on the target phone, notification which will notify the phone's owner that his phone is tracked. This is also a clause by the terms and conditions of Google Play, you can disable this function.

Facebook, Whatsapp, Viber, Line and Skype issues

I don't see the social apps messages

To record messages in Facebook, Line, Viber or Skype the target phone must have ROOT access. Without root access our application can't access files generated by Facebook, Line, Viber or Skype. This is a limitation of the Android operating system.

I don't see the Whatsapp messages

For Whatsapp, in order to get the messages without Root, you will need to connect the phone to your computer and run a script on your PC. Please go to Google for more info about Whatsapp spy.

Can you ROOT my phone?

ROOT process is different for each model of smartphone and it requires physical access to the device. Unfortunately we can't root the phone for you because we don't have physical access to it. According to target phone model and Android OS version, you can find information about how to realize the ROOT process on Google or other search engines.

Browser issues

I don't see the Browser logs

We can only record the activity of the default browser, Chrome( from Spy Phone App version 7.0 ) and S-browser( the default browser of Galaxy S5 ). If you use another browser like Mozilla or Dolphin you will not be able to view the logs on the site.

Contacts issues

I don't see all the contacts from the Phonebook

Our application records by default the new contacts added after you install it. Starting with spy Phone App v7.0 you can create a list with all your contacts. All you need to do is to send an SMS command. For more details read the following article - Remote control

User Manual and Compatibility

For now we only offer support for Android. You will need any Android version higher than 2.1 - Eclair. This means that the application can run on the newest and most used versions of Android like Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean. In the future we plan to develop a version for iOS, and make the application available also for iPhone.
